Can I use PQFORCE for free?
Yes. PQFORCE’s Smart Edition is free of charge for up to 5 projects and 50 resources. If you want to manage more projects and resources, you can upgrade your Smart Edition or choose another PQFORCE Edition.
The higher-tier editions, PQFORCE Professional and PQFORCE Business, include a 60-day free trial period.
What subscription plan should I choose?
PQFORCE offers 4 Editions to cater to individual and company project needs and budgets. Smart, Professional, Business, and Enterprise. The subscription selected depends on your company’s requirements and desired features within PQFORCE.
PQFORCE Smart – The user focuses exclusively on planning for the future. It suits smaller organisational units or departments that prefer a simple solution, such as NGOs, small businesses and managers who want to plan their resources and projects efficiently. PQFORCE Smart is free and includes 5 projects and 50 resources. It can be upgraded to a paid version with up to 100 projects.
PQFORCE Professional – Allows users to focus on the future and the past. It is designed for smaller organisational units or departments that prefer a more extensive range of functions and is well-suited for SMEs and inter-departmental teams. It provides comprehensive project and resource management features. PQFORCE Professional is ideal for organisations that prioritise project and resource management effectiveness. It offers enhanced precision in project control and ensures meticulous oversight and optimisation of project outcomes.
PQFORCE Business – Based on the best practice principle with numerous configuration settings. It is aimed at organisations that want to work across departments and locations and suits SMEs and larger departments or companies. It provides advanced features and enables you to map your projects based on skills, optimise company budgets across portfolios, and simulate portfolio scenarios. This plan suits organisations looking to enhance project management efficiency and cost optimisation.

Yes. Compared to other project management tools, PQFORCE is a comprehensive system that allows users to work with portfolios, projects, resources, and budgets. Business and Enterprise Editions are well suited for large international companies and departments that seek customised solutions, efficiency and full control of project organisation, precision in budget management, and creative solutions for resource management. PQFORCE is used by companies that manage 30,000 to 40,000 resources within PQFORCE.
Can I use PQFORCE to work on projects with people from different departments and different countries?
Yes. PQFORCE provides a comprehensive overview of your organisation's employees, departments, and teams, allowing for seamless collaboration on projects across different locations.
Business Edition offers advanced features enabling multiple holiday calendars and working-time models to accommodate different headquarters and suit various locations' schedules. The platform allows users to set different currencies, automatically converting budgets and costs into the desired currency. These features empower teams across different locations to work efficiently and effectively together.
My organisation lacks both project portfolio and line management. Is PQFORCE still suitable for us?
Yes, PQFORCE uniquely integrates portfolio management, project management, and resource management across its editions. While Smart Edition focuses on core project and resource management features, Professional Edition enables portfolio creation and offers increased precision and control, and Business Edition further incorporates comprehensive financial management features. Additionally, Enterprise Edition users can tailor their environment to their specific needs.
In which countries and languages is PQFORCE available?
PQFORCE is a globally accessible cloud-based software solution. You only require a browser and an internet connection. Users can choose their preferred language from the available options, including German, English, French, and Italian.
Is PQFORCE always available? Are there maintenance interruptions?
Over the year, PQFORCE's average availability on the Shared Cloud is 99.7%. Planned interruptions are minimal and serve the purpose of continuous development, adding new features, and ensuring a high-performance and error-free platform. System rollouts last a few minutes, and during these maintenance windows, PQFORCE is temporarily unavailable. Users are informed in advance through system notices.

How do I create my PQFORCE account?
- To create your PQFORCE free account, visit www.pqforce.com and click the Start the Free Trial button.
- On the new page, create your account by inserting your personal information, email, and password. Choose the preferred language for communication and tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions, then click Continue.
- A confirmation code will be sent to your registered email. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam folder.
- Click the Confirm your account button in the email or copy and paste the confirmation code on the website and click Submit.
- On the new page, enter a name for your new system and click Create your system.
- A success message will appear, and your system will be created within a few minutes. You can access it by clicking Go to subscription list or checking your email.
- You will then be redirected to the Website Dashboard, where you can view a list of all the systems you have created or been invited to.
- Select the desired system and click on Go to.
Subscription & Payments
What does a PQFORCE subscription include, and how long does it run?
A PQFORCE subscription provides immediate access to the selected edition. Subscriptions renew automatically based on the chosen billing cycle. In the homepage dashboard at www.pqforce.com, users can manage each system individually by clicking "Manage Subscription" on the respective system. This allows them to disable automatic renewal, change the billing period, adjust resources and projects, or switch to a different PQFORCE edition.
What is a ‘resource’ in PQFORCE, and how are they applied under my subscription?
A resource in PQFORCE is anything that has limited availability and can be scheduled for work. In PQFORCE Smart Edition, it can be a single employee, a department or a team. Meanwhile, in PQFORCE Enterprise, the definition of resources is highly customisable to meet the user’s specific needs and requirements.
PQFORCE Smart Edition includes 50 free resources, but additional resources cannot be added. For PQFORCE Professional and PQFORCE Business Editions, 50 and 100 free resources are included, respectively. Additional resources can be subscribed to in increments of 100 up to a maximum of 300 resources.

Can I upgrade the number of resources without changing my subscription plan?
Yes. You are free to customise your resources and projects in the most convenient way for you. If you are subscribed for Professional, Business or Enterprise Edition and require additional resources beyond the limits set by your current plan, you can add them by contacting the PQFORCE team here. In the Smart Edition, it is not possible to add more resources beyond the 50 provided.
The number of additional resources can grow to custom numbers. The price for all additional resources depends on the quantity. Larger quantities come at a discount rate, allowing you to pay less when adding more resources.
What counts as a project in PQFORCE? Do completed projects count?
All projects in the Project and Portfolio Management module are divided into active and closed projects, and all of them count in the total project volume. When a project is backed-up, data is exported from the system and can be deleted in the system itself. In Professional and Business Editions, all active projects are assigned a status that identifies their life-cycle progress, the last of which is 'closed.' Closed projects contribute to the total project volume, unless they are exported as a back-up. A project which is managed inside different portfolios only counts once in the total project volume.
How do I subscribe to a PQFORCE system? When will I have to pay?
PQFORCE is a cloud solution that can be subscribed to from the PQFORCE website. Subscriptions include the resources and projects based on the edition selected and are paid by credit card either monthly, quarterly, or yearly. You can deactivate your system at any time before the billing period ends. In addition, depending on your country and whether you are an individual or business, value-added taxes may be applied.
Can I cancel my subscription? Am I entitled to a refund if I cancel a subscription?
No, early cancellation is not possible. Subscriptions are paid in advance, and the system is available for the selected period (month, quarter, year). The system will remain accessible for the duration of the selected subscription period chosen upon payment (monthly, quarterly or annually). To deactivate your subscription, you can stop the automatic payment renewal. Please note that the system will be deleted 90 days after the end of the selected subscription period chosen upon payment.
For users registered to the Smart Edition without any payment plan (free), the system will be deleted after 90 days of inactivity.
What payment options are available?

What is the PQFORCE pricing model?
PQFORCE’s pricing model is flexible, depending on the selected edition and the number of projects that meet your current and future needs. Each edition is tailored to meet company requirements and offers features to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
Explore the features of each edition on our website to select the most suitable one. Once you’ve chosen an edition, customise your subscription by selecting the number of projects you need. The subscription cost is based on the chosen edition and the number of projects or resources included.
Regardless of the edition chosen, your subscription includes the first 5 projects and 50 resources for free. The cost per project decreases as the number of projects increases.
PQFORCE Smart Edition includes a minimum of 5 projects and 50 resources, which are provided free of charge. You can upgrade to a paid version that includes up to 100 projects and 50 resources. The more projects you buy, the less you pay for each one.
For PQFORCE Professional and Business Editions (coming soon), a 60-day free trial is offered, upon which you have the option to upgrade to a paid version or a higher edition. These editions provide additional features and allow you to customise the number of resources and projects in your subscription.
PQFORCE Enterprise is an extension of PQFORCE Business Edition, offering a fully customisable environment. For more information, please contact our sales team.
PQFORCE offers a 5% discount for a quarterly subscription and a 10% discount for a yearly subscription.
How do I upgrade my subscription?
You can upgrade your active subscription anytime by accessing the Homepage Dashboard on the PQFORCE website at www.pqforce.com upon login. You can increase the number of projects included in your current plan or upgrade to a higher edition.
When you upgrade to a higher edition before your current subscription ends, the price of the additional number of resources and projects will be charged to your credit card on a pro-rata basis for the remainder of the current billing period.
For Smart Edition, you can upgrade to support up to 100 projects. However, the number of resources remains limited to the 50 included for free.
With Professional Edition, you can purchase up to 100 projects and expand beyond the 50 free included resources, with additional resources available in increments of 100-resource packages for a max of 300 resources.
PQFORCE Business also allows users to upgrade to 100 projects online and 300 resources for a fee. The first 100 resources are included free of charge. If you want to upgrade to more than 100 projects, please contact our Sales team.
If you require a fully customisable solution, PQFORCE Enterprise offers options tailored to your organisation's needs.

Can I upgrade the number of projects without upgrading the subscription edition?
Yes, you can upgrade the number of projects without upgrading your subscription plan. If you require additional projects beyond the limits set by your current plan, you can upgrade your monthly subscription and select the number of additional projects required.

How does the pricing work for extra projects?
With PQFORCE, as your company grows and the number of projects you manage increases, the cost per project decreases.
The more projects you include, the more money you save per project.
Can I downgrade my subscription?
Yes, you can downgrade your subscription plan. You have the option to choose a lower edition with fewer features or projects. Please note that downgrading your subscription may result in losing access to features in your current edition.
If you wish to stay within the same edition but reduce the number of projects included in your plan, simply specify the desired number of projects you want to include upon renewing your current plan. This will adjust your subscription accordingly. However, prior to starting the plan with the reduced number of projects, you will need to ensure that the number of active projects is the same or below the reduced number of projects selected.
How do I manage my PQFORCE subscription?
Subscriptions can be managed and changed individually from the homepage dashboard, available on this website homepage upon subscription. From this section you can also deactivate your subscription.
Can I manage multiple PQFORCE subscriptions from the same account?
Yes, you can manage multiple subscriptions from the same customer account. When you register with an email address and password on the PQFORCE website, a customer account is created. Each customer account can create one (1) free Smart edition account, but it can host multiple paid systems. A customer account allows users to purchase additional independent PQFORCE subscriptions without re-registering to the website.

How can I get support?
PQFORCE includes an integrated help system named Context-help, located in the top-left corner of the interface. This system is directly linked to the User Manual. By interacting with items in the view, you can be redirected to the corresponding paragraph in the user manual.
From the same top-left corner menu, you can also access video tutorials for step-by-step guidance.

For Enterprise Edition subscribers or those with a standard SLA (Service Level Agreement), a telephone hotline and dedicated support e-mail address are available. Users can also report unexpected system behaviour through the contact form.
Does PQFORCE integrate with other apps and websites?
PQFORCE can seamlessly integrate with systems like SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc. It offers access to its API, enabling your developers to integrate with other systems as needed. Additionally, for Enterprise subscribers, we provide a dedicated system integrator called PQFORCE Agent, which is designed to simplify connecting with other systems.
Can I use PQFORCE without an internet connection?
No. PQFORCE is only available through a web browser and internet connection.
What are the technical requirements and supported web browsers for using PQFORCE?
PQFORCE is a web browser application supported by Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Vivaldi browsers. Chrome is recommended for optimal performance and security. PQFORCE is not supported on Internet Explorer or Safari.
How is the data stored in PQFORCE?
All data entered or imported into PQFORCE is stored in a central database. Each PQFORCE system is logically separated at different levels from other clients on the same server infrastructure, ensuring data security. Starting with Enterprise Edition, you can obtain a Dedicated Server (private cloud) and have your virtual server infrastructure in the PQFORCE Cloud.
What types of data export/import are possible in PQFORCE? Can I obtain my data when I cancel a subscription?
Data in PQFORCE can be exported from various user interface views. In Smart Edition, exports are limited to the PDF, Microsoft Excel and Word format, while Enterprise Edition allows exports in XLSX, CSV, or XML. Regardless of the edition, data can always be accessed via the REST API in JSON format.
Can MS Project files be imported?
Yes, MS Project files (and corresponding formats such as MPX, MPXJ, MSPDI, etc.) can be imported in the Enterprise Edition. Users can drag and drop these files into PQFORCE (in the “Details” view of a project), where the work breakdown structure (WBS), activities with start and finish dates and dependencies are extracted and inserted into the data structures of PQFORCE.
Can I connect PQFORCE to another system, such as an ERP system or MS Exchange Server?
Yes, PQFORCE provides an open, documented REST API. However, support for this API is not available in Smart Edition. Users can independently develop interfaces to third-party systems or seek assistance from a third party. Enterprise Edition offers additional support through its interface framework, the PQFORCE Agent, along with detailed API documentation.

Yes, there are consulting partners available. Interested users can contact PQFORCE to be connected with the right partner. Who owns the data I collect and manage in PQFORCE?
You retain ownership of your data. PQFORCE acts as a data processor under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and adheres to Swiss data protection legislation.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in a ISO 27001 certified data center in Switzerland, providing flexibility with either shared or dedicated server solutions, and ensuring a 100% Swiss solution in terms of development and hosting. Users retain control over data sovereignty and access, backed by the legal certainty guaranteed by the Swiss Data Protection Act.
How long will the data be kept in my system once it has been deactivated?
System use is automatically deactivated after a paid subscription expires or if payment is not received. Data of a deactivated system is preserved for 90 days, after which it is deleted. Reactivation of a deactivated system is generally not possible.
For free Smart Edition systems, the system and its data will be deleted after 90 days of inactivity.

What training do I need to assist customers as a PQFORCE partner?

Can I acquire multiple partner roles, perhaps in the same course?

Partner roles involve specific training modules:
-Completing Module 1 qualifies for the Sales Partner role.
-Modules 1, 2, and 3 are prerequisites for the Consulting Partner role.
-Modules 3 and 4 give you the Integration Partner qualification.Attending more modules simultaneously gives you more certificates.
Alternatively, attending only Module 1 initially certifies you as a "Sales Partner," allowing you to catch up on Modules 2 and 3 at a later course to qualify as a Consulting Partner.
