Projects allow you to plan tasks and allocate resources to them. Projects are created in the PPM module and can be part of a portfolio. To be able to create projects, you must subscribe to a corresponding number of license slots in your PQFORCE system.

License slots are only occupied by actively used projects, which can be both ongoing and completed projects. PQFORCE allows you to deactivate projects by archiving them. Archived projects are not counted as active projects, which helps you to reduce costs by avoiding unnecessary charges for projects that are no longer needed.

For example, if your subscription has a maximum number of 20 projects (license seats) and you have reached this limit but find that you no longer need 5 of these active projects in the system, you can archive them. This process allows you to release occupied license slots without extending your existing subscription. Please note that archived projects can be reactivated if license slots are free.
