Projects allow you to plan tasks and allocate resources to them. Projects are created in the PPM module and can be part of a portfolio. To be able to create projects, you must subscribe to a corresponding number of license seats in your PQFORCE system.

Projects are licensed seats, and each active project, whether ongoing or completed, is assigned a license.  PQFORCE allows you to deactivate projects by archiving them. Archived projects are exported from the system and removed from licensed projects, which helps to reduce costs by avoiding unnecessary charges for project licenses that are no longer needed.

For example, if your subscription has a maximum number of 20 projects and you have reached this limit but find that you no longer need 5 of these projects in the system, you can archive them. This process allows you to release occupied licenses without extending your existing subscription. Please note that archived projects can be reimported if there are available licensed seats.
